Technical Writer- audio/video products

Our client, a leading provider of audio and video products  for hybrid work, is looking for a technical writer.

This work is 100% remote- based in Ireland.

Responsibilities:

Apply developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives.

Work on problems of diverse complexity and scope.

May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process.

Content authoring 

• Small programs and feature releases

• Reworking existing documentation

• Data cleanup when required

Localization/ Globalization / Accessibility

• Restructure documentation for global language accommodation

• Regulatory and Trade compliance documentation updates / rework

• Accessibility tagging

Others

• Documentation archive management

• Transfer of Word files to DITA format

• Subversion tool access management

 Education and Experience:

·       First Level University degree in Technical Communications, Computer Science or related technical/communications field and a minimum of 4-6 years related experience  or an Advanced University degree and 2-4 years experience or equivalent

·       Understands concepts and develops in-depth working knowledge of products, applications and systems in assigned area of responsibility

·       Ability to deliver on multiple project technical requirements, schedules, and information formats

·       Ability to code in HTML, DHTML, XML JavaScript or similar as required

·       Experience with DITA
