Technical Writer-cybersecurity experience

Our client, a multinational technology company that specializes in Internet-related services and products, is looking for a Technical Writer-cybersecurity experience

Initial 3 month pilot, with a view to longer term work.

This work is 100% remote- based in the U.S.

We’re looking for a technical writer to take ownership of customer-facing documentation for our cutting-edge customer security solutions. We're looking for an enthusiastic writer who can deliver high quality documentation that includes writing complex concepts clearly, concisely, and accurately. 

Due to the smaller size of our organization and the rapid pace of growth and change, you’ll have cross-functional exposure at a company that moves quickly. The ideal candidate is someone who can learn rapidly and operate independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Write, publish, and maintain customer-facing documentation, including references, tutorials, online content, and in-app guides, focusing on advanced cybersecurity concepts. 

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing stakeholders to define and deliver documentation requirements to meet customer needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in technical writing, with a proven track record of creating clear, concise, and technically accurate documentation in SaaS, enterprise security, or computer networking. 

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and collaborate across teams.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and succeed in an ambiguous environment with competing demands.

• Ability to work remotely and independently, taking full ownership of documentation projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in English, Journalism, Computer Science, or related field.

• Experience documenting APIs.

• Experience documenting computer security applications.

• Proficiency in XML-based documentation authoring systems, Markdown, and other technical writing tools

• Experience with design tools, like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

• Comfortable using UNIX CLI
